Born circa 1737, christened 17 Apr 1737, son of Moses Rowley (1-5.001) in Colchester, Connecticut. He probably moved with his parents to the Oblong, Dutchess Co., NY by 1748, back to Kent, Litchfield Co., CT by 1752, then (after 1755) to Richmond, Berkshire Co., MA where his first child may have been born circa 1762 and his father died after 1773.
